September has always been my favorite month.

Not only is the ninth month of the year my birthday month, but it is the one in which I can always “turn a new leaf” and find calm in the transition of seasons.

After the relaxation from a Labor Day weekend in the sun there is a change in the air and shift in the atmosphere that runs through us as we head towards the changing of seasons. It’s different from the renewal shift that happens in January when we seek detoxes, cleanses and New Year’s resolutions, but a reflection point and a calmness in acceptance of months prior. Phew, that was a lot — so without getting too deep and astronomical, which I will save for the pros, you can read your horoscope here… which is made by the pros.

In other news, Hannah & I are heading to Palm Springs for the rest of the week to celebrate my birthday with our friends at The Ace Hotel and to just. freaking. chill.

Since you are going to be doing something fun today may I bless you with some of my go-to summer playlists: Summer Afternoon, A Poolside Cocktail, and one I just came across by Lalah Delia called Summer Vortex.

May you find yourself your own celebrity yacht hang and live your Labor Day to the fullest like the Kardashian/Jenners.

This Friday I’m turning 29. Yes, I know, I’m blessed to share a birthday month with fellow Virgo — Beyoncé. Evan Mock

The Youth run the world and the new kid on the scene is Evan Mock. Earlier this year, the 21 year old skateboarder, photographer from Hawaii caught attention from Frank Ocean because of his radical pink buzzcut. Now, Mock is featured in the September issue of GQ, walking the runway during fashion week, photographing Hailey Bieber and skateboarding the streets of New York while looking up to his own billboard in Time Square. skirt-skirt.
