I got a crew cut.

It’s summer, it’s hot — and so is my forehead. So I thought I’d change it up and go short. Really short. You know, because I have a lot of summer activities that really make me hot, like laying on the beach for hours or drinking Coors Light by the pool, that summer heat will really get ya.

My hair grows fast in the summer, so this is the perfect time to go wild. I’ve never cut my hair this short before, and as much as I love my “longer” hair, it’s a nice change to go out in the world with. It’s the new me, or until it grows out in two weeks, either way, I’m living my best life.

To the 80% of you that voted “yes” to cutting my hair on last week’s Instagram Poll, I did it for you.

A little editorial I did for The Venue Report, declaring my love for the new Palihotel Westwood Village. A mix of mid-century modern with Parisian vibes, all set in a charming historic building – Palisociety's newest property is poised to be the most stylish, design-forward hotel in Westwood Village and I’m so excited to share. See the feature here.

Santa Monica Proper Hotel

Yes, I love hotels. The experience of walking through the lobby with your bags, checking in, and peaking your head out the hotel room’s balcony as if you’ve made it home — for a few days at least, it’s as relaxing as it is exhilarating.

Then you go down to the lobby bar and marvel at the art-filled walls and perfectly chosen furniture that invokes such an inviting atmosphere in which the interior designer spent countless hours perfectly curating for you. That interior designer is Kelly Wearstler for the new Santa Monica Proper Hotel. Creativity marrying the 1920’s era landmark building and new contemporary architecture in Los Angeles’ the most prime location, Kelly Wearstler has created a new dream-like hotel and it perfectly exemplifies why I love hotels so much. Stay here.
