Amber Interiors
Most popularly known on Instagram, this interior designer has yet to be given the appropriate amount of design credit. She may not have a show on HGTV or be featured in Architectural Digest, but Amber Lewis’s work is certainly recognizable. Her use of light-filled rooms, natural elements, earthy textures, and colorful finishes has pioneered the way we decorate our homes today and she quite possibly may be the founder of California cool.

Not only has Amber and her team at Amber Interiors have been churning out full home renovations and furniture design for years now, she also has two thriving retail stores (the third location was announced yesterday) in Los Angeles selling her own home furnishings. Next time you're on Pinterest pinning home makeover pics, you can thank Amber Interiors, for her clout in the interior design world runs deep.

Compass is changing the realty industry, fast, very fast. How you ask? Black, white, and bold patterns are taking over 2020. In your all white, Scandinavian house that looks like everyone else’s on Instagram (mine included), try adding a bold statement. Whether it’s a rug, side table or art piece — black and white together create a graphic statement wherever you need a little zig or zag in your space while still remaining neutral.

Ever heard of Kourtney Kardashian? What about Rosie Huntington? Great. Both have modern lifestyle brands — created by Los Angeles design studio, Nice People. The creatives at Nice People are shaping the way we see graphic design and value brands with their purposfully minimal, yet sophisticated design aesthetic. From logos to packaging to websites and everything in between, all that this team creates never ceases to inspire me.

The Jenni Kayne Lake House
Pacific natural is in the air and it’s not going anywhere. With brands trying to push their lifestyle further by opening pop up shops and designer collaborations, the one designer that took it a step further was Jenni Kayne. The retail brand purchased lakefront property in Lake Arrowhead, California earlier this year and did what I have been wanting to do to every cabin I’ve ever laid eyes on… paint it all f*cking white!

The most refreshing cabin you will ever set your eyes on is the Jenni Kayne Lake House. Curated entirely of Jenni Kayne and company products, everything you lay your eyes on is available for purchase. No word yet on if it’s going to be available to rent out, but here’s to hoping.
